CiB is partnering with the our school's Cafeteria to host a 'Harvest of the Month' program at Liberty Bell HS and at the Methow Valley Elementary School. Each month we'll feature a garden vegetable that will be the main ingredient in the school lunch that day, as well as a taste test in the cafeteria for students to try new and healthy foods. LBHS students will sponsor these taste test tables at both schools for community service hours!
CABBAGE will be our first of many featured produce items this year. Kids have the opportunity to try the sweetest green and red cabbages on the test taste table and Laura Wottlin will make a coleslaw from CiB's cabbage harvest this fall.
